"I have to comment on Brooke (Daniela Acitelli). The narrator slayed it with this character. She reminded me so much of a younger version of Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge’s character) in White Lotus. Brilliant deep dive into her head—so transparent and yet somehow, dare I say, relatable!”

Review for ‘Keep Your Friends Close’ by Lucinda Berry

“Daniela Acitelli is an absolute Rock Star narrator. Seriously, this woman deserves an award for how she handled the massive cast of characters. Each character felt completely distinct - I forgot I was listening to just one person performing. Her ability to capture the intensity and nuance of every scene made the audiobook absolutely electric”

‘Fortunate Son’ by Andrew Bridgeman

"Daniela Acitelli infused the characters of my Wolf Lake thriller series with life. She is a joy to work with & always provides a strong production dripping with suspense."

Dan Padavona, Wolf Lake Thriller Books 1-10

“Her skill and performance brought richness and depth to each book, giving them lives of their own... From her characterizations, to her nuance and pacing, Daniela provides dimension to the listening experience that stands on its own as a perfect complement to the books.  I would work with her again in a heartbeat.”

I was born in Fresno, California to an Italian Father and an American Mother. Childhood for me was a mix of foggy Northern California winters and hot Rome Summers (mirroring every Federico Fellini film ever made) filled w/long evenings on balconies surrounded by the beautiful and glamorous of Rome, producers, directors and artists. The smell of espresso and the feeling of forever in the air.

From the age of 8 I knew I was going to be an Actress and a Showgirl and a Circus performer. I was very busy producing full Cabaret shows with the rest of the kids at family holidays, directing and acting in them, even dressing the cast up in our grandmother’s vintage lingerie.

Upon leaving University I moved to the bright lights of LA and immersed myself in the Hollywood of my imagination. Little did I know I would meet a Scotsman (straight out of central casting for every romantic movie ever written) and that together we would travel and live all over the world, Seattle, France, The Channel Islands, Italy and of course Scotland, Ireland.

I finally landed In London where I did all the things 8 year old Daniela dreamed of. As Shady Lane I was a regular Burlesque performer at the iconic Madame Jojo’s in Soho, I trained as a Red Nose Clown, I went back to my first love, the Theatre, I appeared in a few BBC sitcoms and voiced various commercials.

I was always an avid lifetime reader/obsessive audiobook addict. So, one rainy day in 2013, in a burst of bravery, I auditioned to become a Narrator for the RNIB and when I walked out of that studio in Soho, London, that was it. It was suddenly very clear to me that there was simply no point in wasting even one more minute doing anything else, ever again.

Today I still live in the UK with my lovely Scottish husband, my maximalist colourful flat, far too much Leopard Print Faux Fur and my chatty talking Bird Vlad. I spend my days working w/Publishers and Indie writers. I specialize in Thrillers and especially love working with characters who are damaged. There’s humanity at the core of each character (even the unlikeable characters) a narrator’s job is to find that spark, to share the magic and energy that the writer poured into their character’s world on each page.

By holding steadfast to her dreams somehow that little 8 year old made her plan work.

It turns out that dreams really do come true! You just have to hang on.
